Forms of Winter

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the snowstorm we have moved our opening to Friday, February 10th, 6-9 pm.

Opens Friday, February 3rd, 6-9pm
Exhibition runs February 3 - March 24, 2012

Winter in Colorado is a constantly shifting blend of form and color.  In early winter, the snow provides a clean backdrop that accentuates the shapes and colors of the trees, while the snow resting on the branches simultaneously transforms them into new forms.  In deep winter, the blanket of snow simplifies the landscape: strong-blue shadows from the clear, crisp Colorado days provide a variety of abstract forms that interplay with other elements of the scenery.  All of these forms are temporary, changing with each passing storm, and, ultimately, disappearing altogether in the spring.  I invite you to come and experience the ephemeral nature of the season in all its different forms.

Visitors to the Art Walk on Santa Fe may take the First Friday shuttle to and from the Bolt Factory, where they will have the opportunity to visit several additional galleries and artists.
