Lickable art?  Well, not quite, but you may be tempted.  During the month of February, Artwork Network showcases a collection of vibrant abstracts from Colorado artist Eric Sandefur.  Devoid of political or social driven messages, these candy-colored creations aim only to induce a little happiness. 

“I use colors, shapes, and words that are fun and vibrant and make me happy, that is all,” Eric Sandefur describes his work. “I try not to take myself too seriously, and my art serves as a reflection and reminder of this.”

The textural, layered oil paints mix and mingle on the canvas.  They feature “cut ins” showcasing a host of color combinations beneath the surface.  You’ll want to come in close to explore those creations - but be careful, they are so enticing one was actually licked by a child.  While we can’t recommend its taste, we’re sure you’ll enjoy the aesthetics.

Catch this month-long exhibition beginning on the First Friday Artwalk, February 3rd, and afterwards during Artwork Network Gallery & Event Center’s normal business hours of Monday-Friday 10am-5pm, and Saturdays 12-4pm.
