Full Membership

$360 Annual Dues

Full membership status requires members to be exhibiting art galleries, museums or theaters. All members must have establishments of reputation with expert knowledge in the field of work they represent and have the highest ethical and professional standards in conducting business. New members must be submitted for application via sponsorship of an existing member.

Voting Privileges

There is one vote per membership. If the member is absent during a meeting when a proposal is voted upon, the member may cast their vote to an officer prior to the meeting. (An agenda is sent out a week before the meeting.) Only full members are offered the opportunity to run for board of directors or serve as an officer or chair a committee.

Monthly Member Meetings

  • The Art District on Santa Fe meets the first Tuesday of each month at 9 am with the location rotating among member businesses.
  • An agenda is sent out a week prior to the meeting for comments or additions, and to provide an opportunity to cast a vote if a voting member is going to be absent and there is a proposal before the membership.
  • Resources and information are shared with members as it becomes available from city and state agencies including local law enforcement officers.

You are given a Web Page for your gallery or business on the district Web site which you control the content of in terms of images and text: www.artdistrictonsantafe.com.

E-newsletter

The Who, What, and Why I should go to the Art District, the e-newsletter is blasted monthly to the District email list which contains over 5,000 contacts. You will be advised as to when, and in what format to submit your monthly event information as well as your e-mail list.

District brochure

Up to 30,000 brochures are printed and distributed during the year to all Visit Denver locations: Denver International Airport, the Colorado Convention Center, Cherry Creek Mall information station and the 16th Street Mall Visitor’s Center and in mall kiosks. Additionally, the brochure is distributed to all downtown Denver hotels, and many restaurants and coffee shops. Each member has a listing along with a brief description of your business and location on the District map. You may request as many brochures as you would like for your own use.

Visit Denver Membership

The District is a member of Visit Denver (www.visitdenver.org) and receives benefits that are extended to members by virtue of association. This is non-gallery specific and promotes the District.

As a full member of the District, you receive a special offer to join Visit Denver for $99 per year under the District umbrella membership. This “Satellite membership” is a full membership valued at $525 with all the benefits including:

  • Being on the list of venues for meetings and parties
  • Welcome window signs for major conventions and groups visiting Denver
  • Gallery members are listed in the art gallery section of the Official Visitors Guide, a 160 page, full color magazine. Considered the complete guide to tourism in the Denver area, they are available free at all Visit Denver locations and thousands more are mailed out in response to requests for information about Denver.
  • Distribution of your own gallery/business rack cards to both Visit Denver locations. The cards must be 4” x 9”, as the racks are a specific size.

Downtown Denver Partnership Membership

You receive the following under the District umbrella membership:

  • Gallery members are listed individually in the Downtown Denver Partnership directory under “art galleries”.
  • The District purchases a general ad in the Urban Essence guide.
  • The opportunity to participate as a “Downtown Denver Deal Card” merchant for free for the first year you participate in the program.
  • ArtDistrict brochures are available at the Downtown Denver office.

Hotel and Concierge Program

  • The District subscribes to paid promotion throughout Denver area hotels including in-room TV broadcasts showing a video of the District as a bustling tourist destination.
  • We visit the concierges of all major Denver hotels every month making sure they have District brochures and information about current and upcoming activities and events.
  • We provide Taxi vouchers for $2.00 off either coming or leaving the District District

District Beautification and Maintenance

  • Sculptures to identify the “sense of place” and Banners for Santa Fe Drive
  • District Beautification (plants, painting, etc.)

Associate Membership

$300 Annual Dues

Associate members must be business owners on or near Santa Fe Drive. Members must have the highest ethical and professional standards in conducting business. Associate members are invited to the monthly meetings of the association, however are not entitled to voting privileges.

Friends of the District

$150 Annual Dues

Friends of the District Membership is open to any business or individual with an interest in supporting the mission statement of the Art District on Santa Fe. “Friends” are invited to the monthly meeting of the association, however are not entitled to voting priveleges.

Benefits Include:

  • The Art District on Santa Fe meets the first Tuesday of each month at 9 am with the location rotated among member businesses located in the District.
  • Special preview of First Friday exhibitions
